[Caption: A realistic digital painting of the personified Sun. Portrait is from the thigh up—a woman with bare pale arms dressed in a gathered gold lamé gown. The disembodied “Sun” is a sphere of black stone that floats in place of her head. Her plunging neckline is an empty hollow except for a small glowing flame. The background is a gradient from dusty rose to rich brown.]

[Caption: A realistic digital painting of The Moon. Portrait is from the waist up. The “Moon” is hovering in mid-air, soft white, the disembodied “head” over a raspberry and orange Cinderella-style gown with billowy sleeves. desolationrow asked: The sheer amount of people that you've been able to teach and advocate for is outstanding. The amount of diversity In your portfolio alone is something white artists rarely do and has caused people to notice and even makes changes as to who and what they draw. You've made strides in calling out all the wrongs you've had to face and making people realize that not everything they like is perfect. Your fight hasn't been for nothing, people just want to make you feel that way.

Listen if anyone says shit about teenagers around me ever again I’ll eat them alive because this message has more sense, maturity, and compassion than the entire legislative branch of the US government.

From the mouth of a One Percenter -

Abigail Disney

!!!!!!!!!!!

“Yes, there is a superyachtinvestor.com. Go look at it and it will make you so angry, you could chew glass.”

we stan class traitors on this blog

Abigail Disney has no control or input on the operations of the corporation, she is a Disney heiress and, in that respect, nothing else. She puts her money towards philanthropy, especially women’s movements around the globe and peace organizations like Peace is Loud and the Global Fund for Women. She is a documentary filmmaker who explores these themes as well.

There are problematic family investments she earns money from that, legally, she cannot divest from. Instead, she donates these profits to charities that counter to those investments.

Reblogging this version because I needed to read this after watching the video

desolationrow asked: If we're on the topic of dreams I remember I met you in a crystal shop in one of my dreams and you were disappointed because I didn't bring sunflowers so we went to a local flower field and just talked about plants

eliciaforever:

I love this but here’s a funny tidbit: I have a phobia of sunflowers. 😝

Note to self: if I ever meet you in a crystal shop, I’ll make sure to not bring sunflowers

I’m a professional artist and designer. I have a literature degree. I’m a certified ESL tutor and writing instructor. I speak Spanish and French. I have an IQ of 158.

I hate books.

I don’t buy books. I don’t own many books. I’ve struggled with reading my entire life. I read magazines, young adult novels, graphic novels, and short stories. It takes me months to work up the courage to open a book. I prefer to read books I’ve already read. I cannot read a paragraph in a book and comprehend it. I’ve used my intelligence many times in life to get through class required readings without actually reading.

In school, I was in a program for gifted students with learning disabilities. I have OCD, ADHD, dyscalculia, and mild dyslexia.

Computers have saved my ass. Interfacing with words on a screen, digital format books, text based computer games, online magazines and newspapers, short form social media, blogs, even fan fiction—is how I’m able to read.

I’m lucky. I’m very adept at working around my issues. I had a lot of support growing up.

A lot of people aren’t lucky.

So please for the love of god STOP criticizing how people read. Stop romanticizing books as emblems of intelligence, character, and depth. Stop equating literacy with value.

Kthx.
